Animal Friends remains closed due to the fire of 22 March. We will be opening our doors on 15 October and we will be able to accept animals after that date.
We're happy to report that our new building has five separate cat rooms and three separate cat intake/quarantine rooms. This huge increase in space will allow us to provide even better care to even more cats. Although the building is nearing completion, we don't have enough money left over to buy cages and condos for our cats!
The Animal Friends Volunteer Corps is hiring!
As a part of our recovery from the tragic fire of March 10th, Animal Friends is preparing to launch a whole new face.
After experiencing a devastating fire in March, we reached out to shelters in the United States to help us evacuate our surviving dogs that couldn't be re-homed in Kuwait. We're proud to report that every dog is now in a home or awaiting adoption at the Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL) in Washington DC.
We have received numerous reports of pet dogs injesting poison and losing their lives. Below is some information with regard to symptoms related to poisoning and what you can do as the owner. Please do not forget to call the vet.
