Importing/Exporting Pets

Animal Friends would like to remind all pet owners that traveling internationally with a pet requires plenty of paperwork. Here are a few guidelines for traveling with your beloved pet:

1. To depart or enter Kuwait, your pet must be micro-chipped.

2. All pets must have all required shots at least 30 days prior to travel.

3. To depart Kuwait, your pet will need an Export Permit, which is a veterinary health certificate, issued within 7 days of your departure date. The permit is issued by the Public Authority on Agriculture & Fish Resources, Animal Health Department.

4. To enter Kuwait, your pet will need an Import permit issued by the same ministry.

5. To enter the USA, your pet will need a Screw Worm test and certificate. This can only be issued within 5 days of your departure date.

6. To enter an EU country, your pet will need to have a RNATT (Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test) blood test. This test will have to be completed at least 3 months and one day before entering the EU.

7. For all other countries, you will have to check the requirements prior to travel.

Hello Lala, Animal Friends provides cat and dog boarding. If you would like to book for boarding, please send a message to 6700-1622 with your travel dates, name, and animals name. We can then check our system for boarding space and get back to you. Your pet needs to be up to date on their vaccinations.
